Verve
What it does
Verve International is Africa's first and leading domestic EMV payment card scheme, owned by Interswitch Group. Launched in 2009, Verve hit 100 million cards issued as of December 2025, reinforcing its position as the dominant domestic card brand in Nigeria. Verve has a partnership with Discover Financial Services (since 2013) for international acceptance, and also offers a virtual card product called Verve eCash within the Quickteller app.
