What it does

Farmcrowdy was Nigeria's first digital agriculture crowdfunding platform, connecting smallholder farmers with retail investors. Founded in 2016 by Onyeka Akumah and four co-founders, it raised $2 million in total seed funding. The platform was part of the Techstars Atlanta 2017 cohort. Founder Onyeka Akumah departed to focus on Treepz (formerly PlentyWaka) in 2019.
